Annual Parish Meeting

Dear Resident, This meeting is an opportunity to meet the members of your community that represent you at the most local level of government. Come and have a coffee and a slice of cake and listen or participate and make your representation on the topics on the agenda. We look forward to seeing you there! Clerk to the parish council. This meeting complies with the Local Government Act 1972, and is the annual assembly, or, as is often called – the annual parish meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss parish affairs and the meeting cannot start before 6pm. This meeting is not the annual parish council meeting. All parish electors are entitled to attend the parish meeting and vote. The Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 provides for the general public and press to attend.  The Chairman of the Council (or in his/her absence the vice-chairman) must preside if present. If they are not present, the meeting may appoint a chairman for the meeting.
