Introduction to the BioDiversity Project at the Signal Box garden

The Signal Box site in the village of Blakedown covers an area of approximately 200msq. and features the building itself – a brick structure relocated and rebuilt from its original nearby site – a surrounding pathway, an area of artificial grass, a linear planter running along the southern boundary and gravel beds. A large conifer overhangs the site from an adjacent garden. The site currently has very little ecological value and relatively modest enhancements would improve the site for wildlife.
